Most teacher training front-loads information and skips the practice. Mind's programme is built the other way grounding teachers in theory, then moving quickly into experiential practice, and weaving personal development throughout. Teachers leave ready to teach, not just ready to read about teaching.
SEL Foundations
The why and what of social and emotional learning CASEL framework, child development research, the India context, and the evidence base. Teachers leave with a clear mental model of what SEL is and why it matters.
The Facilitator's Toolkit
The practical skills of group facilitation circle setup, check-in and close rituals, managing energy, drawing out quiet voices, handling disruption, and reading the room. Entirely practice-based, with immediate feedback.
The Teacher's Inner Work
Teachers experience a condensed version of the personal development journey they will facilitate working through emotional awareness, self-regulation, and reflective practice. The most transformative module of the training.
Curriculum Delivery Practice
Teachers practise delivering actual sessions from the school curriculum with peer observation and structured coaching feedback. Each teacher delivers at least two practice sessions before being observed with real students.
Observed Practice & Certification
Teachers deliver a session with their actual student group, observed by a Mind trainer. Structured feedback is given. Certification is awarded when the teacher demonstrates readiness across all five competency areas assessed.
Full Facilitator Certification
Every teacher who completes the programme and passes the observed session assessment receives a Mind SEL Facilitator Certificate a named credential recognising their trained competency to deliver SEL in schools.
Complete Session Resource Library
Access to Mind's full library of session plans, facilitator guides, student worksheets, and reflection tools updated annually and searchable by age band, competency, and session type.
Monthly Peer Supervision

Termly Observation Visit

On-Call Safeguarding Advice
When a safeguarding situation arises, trained teachers can contact their Mind trainer directly for immediate guidance, follow-up support, and documentation advice.
Annual Curriculum Refresh
Each year, trained teachers receive updated session materials and a refresher session covering changes in the SEL evidence base, curriculum, and facilitation best practices.
The teachers who become your school's SEL foundation.
Mind trains any school staff member who will be involved in SEL delivery from classroom teachers to counsellors to coordinators. The training is adapted to each role and the specific demands it brings.
Classroom Teachers
Subject teachers who will deliver SEL sessions as part of the timetable needing facilitation skills, curriculum knowledge, and the personal grounding to hold emotional content confidently.
School Counsellors
Counsellors who want to extend their impact from individual support to whole-class SEL facilitation broadening their reach and complementing their clinical work with structured group programmes.
Wellbeing Coordinators
Coordinators responsible for the school's overall wellbeing programme who need both facilitation skills and a strategic understanding of how SEL fits within the broader school culture and calendar.
Teacher Champions
The one or two teachers per school who are most invested in SEL who want to become the school's internal experts, able to support colleagues, quality-assure delivery, and sustain the programme as staff change over time.
Teacher training works best alongside these.
Our three school services form an integrated system. Most schools begin with facilitation or curriculum design before building toward teacher-led independence.
SEL Curriculum Design
Your trained teachers need a curriculum worth delivering. Mind designs age-appropriate, school-specific SEL curricula that give your staff the structure and content to work from so their facilitation skills have an excellent vehicle.
